A safe and empowering therapeutic relationship is the basis for success in therapy. It is imperative that clients feel comfortable with and trust in me and the therapeutic process. We may use a variety of therapeutic strategies including interpersonal process, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, family systems, and gestalt techniques. We will explore a number of areas of life with the goal of clients feeling congruent and grounded throughout their lived experiences.
It is my hope to work with clients who are engaged and active in their well-being. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to change and willing to do the difficult emotional work that often needs to be done to effect that change. I have had the pleasure of working with clients on a number of issues, that include but are not limited to, racial, gender and sexual orientation identity, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, family issues, sport psychology, and eating disorders.
Training is one of my passions as I believe that it is an invaluable part of the mental health ethos. To that end, I enjoy working with Limited License Psychologists who are working toward licensure hours.
